The story behind the Paparoa Side Tables

Tréology | Organic Shaped Side Tables | Inspired by Nature

Luxuriant coastal forest, limestone cliffs and canyons, caves and underground streams, and an absolutely spectacular coastline, are all packed into one national park. The bizarre ‘pancake-stack’ coastal formations attract visitors to the area.
— Department of Conservation, New Zealand

Design inspiration came from observing the natural environment encountered when walking New Zealand’s Great Walk  - in the Paparoa National Park.

SHAPES and BASE DESIGN

The PAPAROA side table base shapes draw inspiration from of the stone formations found in this national park – crafted from Timaru blue stone – mimicking the colour of the rocks and stones found in that area.

The organic shaped ancient matai wood tops celebrate the different shaped stones found on the track. Crafted from sustainable, ancient matai wood with custom dark stain finish.

Handcrafted by Tréology, in Christchurch New Zealand.
