Adventure - Mountain Biking St James Trail

Adventure | Tréology family mountain bike the St James Trail | Connecting to nature

A bad day on a mountain bike always beats a good day in the office.
— Mike Brcic

Tréology co-founder Andrew, his two sons and brother n law completed an overnight adventure on the St James trail - connecting to nature, sharing some laughs, and plenty of stories to tell about their experience together. The trip involved, 72km of backcountry mountain biking taking them past several old huts, getting wet with required river crossings, in return, the bikers were treated with spectacular scenery. A truly enduring experience - not without its challenges including a torn side wall on one son’s rear tyre requiring a new tube and some duct tape to hold it together enough to get them home on the second day!

Day one was biking from the carpark, over Maling Pass to Lake Guyon. After a quick cold swim, they went on an afternoon walk to the old Stanleyvale hut before returning to the Lake Guyon hut to spend them night.

Day two was back on their bikes from Lake Guyon to the St James Homestead with some honest vertical - the younger boys in the group managed to bike 100% of the trail, with Andrew and brother n law Geoff pushing up the step bits.

An epic trip which they highly recommend to others wanting to experience a good adventure.
